This is how we take, the old to the new, the new to the old, the old to the new...
Some familiar faces are moving into new roles at Verde in FY13: Alyssa Kocsis, who began working at Verde in early 2012 as the Landscape Program Assistant, has taken a new position at Verde, the Verde Training Liaison. The Liaison is our point person for crew member training, working with Verde Landscape Crew Members and Verde Energy Crew Members to develop and implement their Individual Learning Plans, as well as working with Verde's partners to identify training and hiring pathways as part of Verde's Let Us Build Cully Park! project. Tony DeFalco, familiar to many for his fine work with Verde Energy and Let Us Build Cully Park!, has joined Verde full time, now serving as the Coordinator for Living Cully: A Cully Ecodistrict, where were are reinterpreting sustainability as an anti-poverty strategy. As the Living Cully Coordinator, Tony will spend about half of his time working on Cully Park outreach, and the other half working with Verde, Hacienda CDC and NAYA on a comprehensive strategy to drive environmental investments into the Cully neighborhood in response to existing community needs.
