Verde enterprises support a grassroots outreach strategy based on green job and business creation. Through bilingual conversations, flyers, presentations and signage, our grassroots outreach activities share information about the connection between protecting the environment and making a good living.

Crew members from Verde's social enterprises are part of this outreach, talking with their own communities about their job at Verde and the work they do to protect the environment.

Their stories demonstrate to their neighbors, relatives and others that these good green jobs do exist, and that low-income people can get them. It causes their neighbors to ask:

"How can I make a good living protecting the environment??"
"How can I bring green jobs to my community??"

Verde Outreach works with these community members to create local green job opportunities and to influence environmental changes coming to their neighborhood. Examples include Cully Green Street and Thomas Cully Park.
