Bienvenidos a Raina!
Verde welcomes Raina Brot-Goldberg to our outreach team, our second Confluence Environmental Center AmeriCorps member. Raina will be working closely with our Education Coordinator Nestor Campos to support our youth programs. You will see her around coordinating our annual Cully Critter Cruise, leading field trips to the Columbia Slough natural areas, building solar panels with Cully youth, and rebooting the Club Aves neighborhood birding group!
Raina comes to Verde as a seasoned outdoor youth educator. She was an intern with Growing Gardens and a Garden Educator at an afterschool garden program where she attended the University of Vermont. Verde is eager to bring Raina’s experience and interest in agriculture into our wheelhouse of environmental programming, as it fits well with the triple bottom line of sustainability we build our educational programming on: balancing the social, environmental and economic factors of sustainability.
When she is not at Verde, you can find Raina riding around on her bike, dancing in Zumba classes and exploring the Oregon Coast. She loves to cook and is always interested in doing recipe exchanges!
