Bilingual Tree Planting Event - Evento Bilingüe de Plantación de Árboles
Description: There are two ways of participating in this Friends of Trees & Verde event: receiving a tree (or several trees) planted at your home or volunteering to plant trees. Or better yet, both!
If you'd like to receive free tree(s), complete this Eventbrite registration and we will contact you to learn the type of tree(s) you'd like and assist in selecting the site and working out other details. If you are a renter, we can assist you in seeking permission to plant tree(s) from the property owner.
If you'd like to volunteer, please register using this form and arrive at the event at 8:45 am Saturday, February 1st at César Chávez School, 5103 N Willis Blvd, Portland, OR. The bilingual tree-planting event will began at 10:00 am.
We will have breakfast snacks, coffee, tea, and hot cocoa, and will provide the tools and gloves needed to plant trees. Dress for rainy weather, and we'll have fun planting trees together in North Portland!

Si quiere recibir árboles gratuitos, favor de indicarlo en esta forma. Le contactaremos para que escoja la clase de árbol(es) de su preferencia y para asistir en la selección del sitio y otros detalles. Si usted no es propretario de su casa, podemos ayudarle a obtener permiso para plantar.
Si le interesa ser voluntario, favor de registrarse en esta forma y llega al evento a las 8:45am el sábado, 1 de febrero a la Escuela César Chávez, 5103 N Willis Blvd, Portland, OR. El evento empieza a las 10:00am.
Vamos a tener antojitos, cafe, té, y chocolate caliente para el desayuno. Tenemos todo el equipo que vamos a necesitar y no es necesario traer sus propias herramientas. Le pedimos que venga preparado para la lluvia y el fango. ¡Lo más importante es divertirse!

Water Justice Leadership Institute - OMSI Film Screening
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who attended the Water Justice Leadership Institute short film screening and panel discussion event celebrating Verde’s 18 Years of Impact!
We were joined by nearly 100 attendees, including elected officials, water justice leaders, and more, who joined us at OMSI to engage in our panel discussion and watched our Water Justice short film on Portland's largest screen, an impressive 61-foot-wide and 40-foot-tall display. It was an inspiring moment, highlighting the significance of our collective efforts in this crucial movement.
This event was not only a celebration of Verde’s 18 years of impact but also a testament to the resilience and commitment of our community. We are immensely proud of this milestone and the path we have paved towards a more just and sustainable future.
