Environmental Education Program Coordinator

As an Environmental Education Program Coordinator for Verde, Raina engages with youth and adults through programming focused on learning about plants, animals, environmental stewardship, and most importantly, fun adventures in the outdoors! Born and raised in NYC, Raina has seen and experienced the disconnect between living in urban areas and its effect on our relationship to the natural world. She believes in engaging, educating, and exciting folks around environmental justice issues by way of relationship building, hands-on exploration, and place-based learning. She is energized to intersect her environmental education work with community organizing at Verde. In her free time she enjoys tending to her many houseplants, parents her sweet pup Lucia, and is a part of a free food mutual aid collective. Ella habla Español intermedio.
